AICP Week is a celebration of creativity and thought leadership. The Week is anchored by the Premieres of The AICP Next Awards and the AICP Show: The Art and Technique of the American Commercial, the latter culminating with the most anticipated celebration in the industry: The gala at the Museum of Modern Art. Additionally, in each year, various educational seminars and events highlighting the state of marketing in the motion image are staged.

Base Camp opens on June 5th with cocktails at 5pm. On June 6th and 7th, Base Camp will feature panel discussions, the opportunity to experience the shortlisted VR work from the AICP Next Awards, pick up tickets and passes, and offers a place to charge phones, hold meetings, and grab coffee and snacks. Nick Law, Vice Chairman, Global Chief Creative Officer at R/GA, and the 2017 AICP Next Awards Judging Chair, serves as MC for the evening. Representatives from the winning Integrated campaigns will present live case studies of their honored work. The 2017 AICP Show: The Art & technique premieres at The Museum of Modern Art. Now in its 26th year, the AICP Show is snapshot of a year in advertising and culture, and is archived by the Department of Film at The Museum of Modern Art. The AICP Show is open to AICP Week pass holders and AICP Show ticket holders. For more details, click here.
The AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial, is more than just an awards show judging the best work of the year. It's an ongoing archival project with cultural and artistic significance. Since the Show's inception in 1992, the honored work is included in the archives of the Film Department at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), in New York. The Show is judged by close to 400 advertising and production professionals, and is assembled by a curatorial panel of prominent industry leaders.
The AICP Next Awards recognize outstanding work and the creative forces behind it, but are much more than an awards competition - it is a platform for thought leadership and analysis by those pushing boundaries and raising the bar higher on marketing content. The honored campaigns and single executions are on the leading edge of harnessing all types of media and technology to communicate the marketer's message. All work for the Next categories must be for a client and may be produced and aired globally.
