George Sholley

2019 AICP Curatorial Committee member George Sholley was born in Boston, Massachusetts. While still in his teens, he got his start in the film business working as a set intern -- eventually working his way up to becoming a set PA, office PA, producer’s assistant, and line producer, before eventually joining BBDO for nearly a decade as an Executive Producer before arriving at Viacom, where he is VP, Head of Production at Nickelodeon/Viacom Velocity.

During his time at BBDO, George produced films for AT&T including ‘From One Second To The Next’, about the dangers of texting and driving, directed by Werner Herzog, as well as the recent award-winning “#DefyTheName” PSA alongside Monica Lewinsky. In addition, George spent 6 years as Global EP for GE, creating memorable spots including “Raining Octopus”, “Agent Smith”, and “The Boy Who Beeped.” He has a chihuahua named Audrey.
