MIAMI - (May 2, 2005) - AICP Florida, partnered with FilMiami, the Greater Miami Convention and Visitor's Bureau and the Miami beach Film Office to host a Miami Reception for the New York Advertising community at the offices of Red Car.

The event was a huge success as it was attended by nearly 1,000 New York advertising executives, creative directors and commercial producers. A delegation including AICP Florida President Massimo Martinotti, several Florida Board Members, Jeff Peel (Miami Dade Mayor's Office of Film & Entertainment) and Graham Winick (Miami Beach Film Office) attended the Miami event in New York that took place on April 28th.

According to Massimo Martinotti, President of AICP Florida, "AICP/Florida is very proud of the Miami Mojito Party we organized in New York. It was a resounding success for Miami with almost 1,000 attendees from most of the advertising agencies based in New York. Our members had the opportunity of meeting creatives, including top Creative Directors, and producers that spent almost 3 hours having a good time and feeling the Miami flavor. We are indeed planning to reproduce this event in other cities both in the US and Europe." Martinotti added, "we will continue working with the Miami Dade Mayor's Office of Film & Entertainment to market our region in the leading advertising centers Worldwide: London, Chicago, Los Angeles, etc."

The event was also the New York launch of the Black Book: Spotlight on Miami location resource guide and interactive DVD, and 500 copies of this new production resource were placed into the hands of the New York advertising community.

"New York is home to some of the world's largest advertising agencies and this event proved to be a tremendous opportunity to showcase Greater Miami and what it has to offer and to invite these agencies to produce their next spot in Miami-Dade," said Jeff Peel, Director of the Miami-Dade Mayor's Office of Film and Entertainment.

According to Jennifer Lederman, Managing Director of Red Car, "when Massimo of Mia Films presented me with the idea of co-hosting an event in conjunction with FilMiami and the AICP Florida, I welcomed the opportunity. Great advertising and production comes out of Florida, and it was nice to provide them with a venue to promote that. The party was an overwhelming success. A huge amount of people from the NY advertising community came out to Red Car that night to drink Mojitos and dance to Latin music. I think we provided a lot of people from our industry a really good time!"
