AICP Show The 19th Annual AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial, debuted on June 8, 2010 at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City. One of the most important advertising showcases in the U.S., each year the work honored is made a part of the permanent archive of the Department of Film at MoMA - home to one of the greatest collections of modern and contemporary art in the world. Each chapter in the archive tells a story that reflects society and culture through the messages and artistic achievements in advertising for that given year. The AICP Show is more than an awards competition. The hour-long compendium of the best commercials - encompassing all moving image media-is an ongoing project with archival significance for the advertising business and the arts community. The Show debuts with a screening at MoMA, followed by a national and global Tour. The opening of the Show is attended by over 2,000 guests. During the Tour, thousands more attend screenings and celebrations throughout the country and the world. In total, each year's installment is seen by over 15,000 people from the worlds of art, advertising, media and film. |
