Matt has over 20 years’ experience in the CPG industry and has worked across a number of iconic consumer brands in 6 different categories. He is currently Vice President for Mars Wrigley Confectionary US Candy Business. In this role, he leads the cross-functional category team for 3 highly regarded brands: Skittles, Starburst & Lifesavers.
Matt as driven strong Marketing & Business Results through creative campaigns like “Taste the Rainbow” for Skittles and “Unexplainably Juicy” for Starburst. These campaigns span multiple communication channels – like TV, Radio, social media, and PR; and include 3 Super Bowl Ads. The works has merited several Cannes Lions and other prestigious awards. The brands also have best in class leadership on Social Channels like Facebook, Twitter, and Snap Chat. Additionally, the brands have leveraged key partnerships (like the NFL, Marvel & NASCAR) to drive results.
Matt’s career breadth has included dedicated roles in Strategy, Sales, Brand Marketing, and Organizational Development. Prior to Mars Inc, Matt spent 15 years at SC Johnson leading creative work on iconic brands such as Ziploc, Glade & Pledge. Matt has a Ph.D. in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from Central Michigan University and an MBA from Marquette University.
