I’m approaching my third decade of editing. I started at NuWorld, grew up and spent most of my career at Optimus, and six years ago I joined Utopic, where I help lead the editorial department, mentoring our assistants and editors, while at the same time working with our other departments (audio, graphics, color, visual effects). Hundreds of commercials, videos, shorts and features in, I’m as passionate about editing as I’ve ever been.
I could easily list the standard, “Craig has worked with such esteemed clients as Gatorade, Capital One, Nintendo, Squarespace, McDonalds, Michelob Ultra, has won multiple AICP POST awards, including last year’s Best of the Midwest, etc. etc.” But honestly, that feels really tacky and I kinda hate that.
