Adam Cohen is a partner in the NYC law firm Kane Kessler, P.C. and chairs the firm's Intellectual Property practice group. Kane Kessler is counsel to the AICP. Adam regularly represents clients in all aspects of intellectual property law and acts as outside general counsel to clients in several industry sectors including advertising and commercial production; fashion apparel and retail; contemporary art; media and entertainment; consumer products; public relations; publishing; and technology.
Among other endeavors, Adam is involved in the procurement, protection and conveyance of intellectual property through licensing, acquisition and sale, joint ventures, and other transactions; general intellectual property counseling; the prosecution and protection of trademarks; intellectual property litigation; industry specific relationships; and general commercial counseling.
Adam is a frequent speaker, writer and panelist on intellectual property and industry specific legal issues. He has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers - New York Metro Edition for the years 2012-2017. Adam sits on the Board of Directors of Franklin Furnace Archive, Inc., a NYC based not-for-profit arts organization.
He is a graduate of Brown University and Northwestern University law school.
